I am trying to figure out what exactly I have here. I found a thread on here from 2013 but that is all the internet has to offer. I hope you antique geniuses can help.

A rare bird

Is the cooking surface hinged?  I've looked through all of my Hotpoint literature and don't find this one; I would guess it's a late 1950's offering, maybe trying to compete with the Frigidaire fold-up cooking units.  Color appears to be Woodland Brown.

Welcome to the club / Hotpoint Custom Trend

Don’t believe there are many of these around. Early 1960s is a good guess. I have a Hotpoint calendar from about 1963 that shows this range.
Mine is pink. Sorry about the bad photo. I’ve not seen one in coppertone yet. The fellas in Maryland have one in stainless I think.
Congratulations!

Hotpoint

Welcome, Trey!

John Lefever has one of these in the museum kitchen in MD. We actually used it cooking for the Wash-In a few years back and it worked very well. The unit sits on the countertop. You don't see these too often - worth holding onto!

Thank you all for your responses. It is hinged. It folds into the side a snuggles up very nicely. I pulled it out of an estate sell house here in Nashville TN. I'm going to attach more pictures of it here in a few minutes. It was too cool to leave, just wish I had a use for.

1960 Hotpoint Custom Trend Cooking Center

These are really cool and pretty rare appliances.

We have an all brushed Chrome one installed in out museum kitchen, It is a really good range, the oven bakes beautifully.

These are probably rare because they were expensive, the dealer wholesale cost of these were almost $400 in 1960, it was the most expensive built-in cooking appliance on HPs price list.

All of these were brushed chrome but the oven door could be ordered in at least 6 different colors. You could also order this range with the burners on the left or right side, however everyone I have seen [ 3 now ] have the fold down burners on the left.
