The washer is a 63 perhaps an upper level 700 series. I remember seeing the dryer match somewhere, and it had a small hamper door. There was a member, I believe his name was wigwagster, who had this in his collection. I remember a thread in the 2005 archives which showed it lit up. (I think it was titled "Sweet 1963 Kenmore", or something like that.) This washer is in one of the Aberdeen farm photos. I playfully call this the casino model, since the dial and alphabet row light up, which make it resemble a slot machine. I think there may be another light just below the alphabet row as well.
This model has the pregnant rotoswirl agitator, and bleach dispenser. 1963 was indeed one of the first years, if not THE first year where bleach dispensers and self cleaning lint filters graced the middle of the line models.
The dryer is also from 1963, but a 600 model.
Have a good one,
James
