I have an 1966 Kenmore 800 washer, and 1962 Kenmore 70 dryer recently removed from an estate. I did test them at the original location and they both worked still. BTW, I still have the '65 800 washer available as well if anyone is interested. I would like to keep them, but space is at a premium in my small house!

Nice pairing. Kind of funny to see them at different heights. I guess the washer was on a raised surface. They look like they were well cared for.

Have a good one,
James

Every time I see a pic

of that spidery, crab leg rotoflex, I get all squiggly, wanting one. Have never seen an RF in the flesh. OH! for the future.
Gas up Jed and go get it!

1966 Kenmore Model 800

To all guys:

I am in complete agreement with all here. That's one of those Kenmores that one would have to add to their collection, if they don't already have one.

And if you are a Kenmore fan, this machine's a no brainer.

I take it that this is the #3 Kenmore back in 1966 (that is, under the Keyboard Lady K, and the Keyboard Kenmore Model 900), and the early version of the machine that is pictured in my 1968 Sears Catalogs.

I wonder what the matching dryer looks like??? Does it have a "full-width" door, or a "drop-down-center" door like that 1961-62 Model 70 Dryer sitting next to the washer???

BTW Gordon.... here's the dryer that matches your 1961 Kenmore Model 70 Washer. How bad do you want her??? Are you willing to drive up to Michigan to nab it???
