67 frigidaire range

Hello all,

I was wondering if someone might have a thermostat for a frigidaire range that they would be interested in selling. This is for a friend who does not want to part with the range. (smart man) lol. Anyways it is a model RD20L. I need the oven thermostat. According to the fiche at work the original part# was 7526560 then changed to 5309957110. Then was discontinued in Feb of 2001. If anyone has anything you can mail me at [email protected] and let me know what you want for it.

Does the thermostat have any identifying numbers on it? A brand on it. Sometimes you can get replacement thermostats from aftermarket companies like Robertshaw et al. Is it a simple 2 wire one? Appliance parts dealers should be able to help finding a suitable replacement. Take it out and bring it to parts house. They may be able to find a replacement for you.

Thanks for the info fixerman. I have not taken it out yet. The friend of mine lives kinda far away. I asked a ton of questions on the phone hopping to go there with one in hand. Even if its not whats wrong he was going to sit on it for the future. I still may have to take it out just to see it and maybe rig something else up if I cant find the original.
