Front page Article of HOME SECTION: Restoring the Retro House by Steven Kurutz is fabulous. Great pics of Post-WWII home interiors. Talks about Pam Kueber at retrorenovation.com a website started in 2007 which has become the epicenter of a small but devoted group of midcentury design enthusiasts. The article talks about the difficulties people have in finding kitchen cabinets and appliances for their midcentury homes.

Tis brings back memories of my home I grew up in. It was built in 1950 and 1951 when I was just a baby. It was a great county home with large rooms and many state of the art things. Our bathroom and kitchen fixtures were all Crane and the bath room sinks had the colded in faucets. My bedroom with my older brother had cowboy wallpaper and light fixture my sisters bedroom had flowered wallpaper with a girl walking a poodle light fixture. All oak wood floors other than tile in the bathrooms. The master bath had a large curved glass brick wall that also made part of the front entry to the house. My folks sold this house and somd acerage in 1995 and moved to town. Our den had ungodly scrolled flowers for wallpaper. My mother was telling an aunt and uncle that the design would grow on you. My uncle said it would have to grow a long long time for him. Made my mother mad my brother and sisters said.
