What did WCI do to the Frigidaire washers besides installing a normal agitator?
What were the main problems with these machines?

Normal Agitator
They took a Westinghouse washing machine & stamped "Frigidaire" on it. They replaced the Jet Action Agitator which provided great & efficient washing with their "normal" agitator and the indexing tub which provided much less effective washing (in my humble opinion). I owned a Horizon 2000 pair in the early 90's, was never satisfied with the washer (the indexing tub broke), sold the pair and found a used GM Frigidaire pair (65-68 model)to replace them with.
