Is it me, or is this just a little pricey for a hair dryer??

I saw one of those when I drove by a yard sale last week. I would not be surprised if they ask for $30 for it!

What???? 800 $??? CRAZY PEOPLE!!! I'd write them just to ask if in the hurry they did put a 0 more than needed....

They're NUTZ! We have a turquoise1972 Lady Oster, and my sister has an identical GE like the one in the CL ad. It was bought circa 1970-71 when K-Mart first came to Wausau. The GE is practically new also so maybe my sister has a fortune sitting in her closet too.
They pop up all the time at thrift stores around here as well and they're usually in very good condition probably because they didn't get much use so were not "handled" all that much

Maybe they wanted to start "higher" withn 80$ to accomodate any negotations, but 800!!!! It's just CRAZY! As I said I'd ask if it is a typo! Hopeful it is a typo!
I usually ask that when I see a crazy price on ads, is the only question you can do sometimes at certain pricing! This is the most "delicate" and implicit way to say "hey what the hell?" without looking like if you want to get cost down and negotiate.....this would maybe let them think a bit and so look around to see what's the "average" price going.... and maybe realize the real value...
Sometimes I found people that said thanks and it was a mistake, other times no they were convinced....what you can do in these istances is to let them realize it theirself with no response coming.....

If so they would have wrote 8000....if they forgot to put the point....I think....more likely a zero more.....unless they wanted to sell it for 8 bucks...this way would be cheap though! LOL Very unlikely!

An actual "salon" dryer by Bonat or any other pro vendor cost around $300 new not so long ago. These people are out of their minds.

$8.00, as in "EIGHT" would be a lot more realistic, unless the bids have gone that way up...!
A chrome hand-held hair dryer with one heat & fan setting & NO on/off switch was seen at my grand-parents hose a long time ago...
But no chance you would ever see IT going for much more than a new and better one would be priced...
