OK it's getting a bit scary and a bit much. One week of continuous rains, since last Friday.

Record breaking level of 12 inches this month (Veg, I hear you giggling LOL).

I am really starting to feel somewhat "closed in."

Mother nature is sure pissed-off. They say the earth shifted on its axis during the last tsunami.

It's

Its been raining here in Boston for the last week too. And ALL I could think was it must be revenge from the almightys. Oh well, I guess I should stop worshipping those bunny rabbits and white mice and accept the fact that god resembles a white human male whose into christyannity stuff.

Actually, the weather here during the last week or so has been like 52 degrees, overcast and when it rains it is a nice soaking rain. nothing really heavy. no major wind. not even thunder and lightning like I like. The electricity hasn't even gone out. I have no complaints. I love the rain. But I realize other areas not too far away haven't been as fortunate.

I don't remember the last time we had this much rain continuously like this. As for thunder and lightning, have seen very little over the summer...nothing major at all where i am.

Don't worry Steve, we are finally supposed to get a break tomorrow...sure hope so.

Let em dare say we have a drought now!! LOL

Called mom. Heard her whole litany of comaplaints.
Here is good one, of the dozens I heard:

The chimney clean-out (the chimney is used by the oil-burner and gas hot water heater), has water coming out of it.

Never in 30 years of owning that home has a drop of water come out of it. Apparently the rain is falling straight down which is unusual, as is the quantity and the duration of the down-pour.

WEll, it's soon gonna break! We just saw our first splash of sunlight this afternoon since LAST Friday! Yaeeee... It's gonna be a sunny weekend!

water down the chimney ?

Seriously though, I take it this is a "traditional" brick chimney? Does she have a chimney cap? I mean, one is just asking for trouble letting water and snow in there. It is only going to hasten disintegration.

Re: Northern Calif Weather:

I'm sorry to "Burst Your Bubbles" but we've been having 80+ Degree/F Weather here during the day these past couple of Weeks, but it's gotten down to between High 50's to Low 60's at Night though.

We are supposed to be having some Rain coming into Sacramento, some time at least on Sunday however...

Peace to all, Keep Safe, Enjoy your Weather as your able and Keep the Washers and Dryers Operating {or Clothes-Lines} where able to use...

West Coast Hugs and Well Wishes, Steve

Steve,

Its been raining in here for that long also. There has been flooding and had to take some altenate routes to work because of flooded roads. There has been such an influx on building new homes that older developments are now getting flooded and many of the home owners are getting basments full of mud and water. Friends work for the fire depts and they are telling us of people with 6 feet of water filling the basemnts. I am luckey, just got a small puddle in my laundry room. I live up on a hill. If I would get flooded out, it would mean we would be way past building the ark. I heard tomorrow is suppose to be windy and warm, I will spend the afternoon cutting my lawn, probalby 5 plus lawn and leaf bags of clippings, It is very high, can not mulch and it is full of leaves. but being outside will seem like a vacation, I hate being cooped up inside.

have a great weekend everyone

Actually, the earth "wobbled" during the earthquake that caused the tsunami. A "shift" would be permanent.

SS Pipeline

Support Stockings? Actually a good canal system would do it, but then people with water would bitch and complain about having to send "their" water to people who stupidly decided to live in the desert, just like during a drought a while back, the people in the area of the Great Lakes did not want water released into the Mississippi River. Of course, with those Lamprey "eels" in the waters, it might have been for the best. Besides bombs and weapons are more fun to the cases of arrested development who control those sorts of things anyway. Maybe if they could bomb out instead of dig the canals we could interest them. Think if there had been a way to divert the flood waters from the upper Mississippi to the West how much less damage the country would have suffered.
