It IS TOL, but more like 1970 or so...please correct me if im wrong...!

yeah, i think this is a "TOL" stove here....

cuz it is a "P*7" (self-cleaning oven), and it looks like the front, left hand burner has that button in the middle "sensi-temp" or "sensi-burner". and it looks like it has the meter for the probe for the oven.
i don't know all the right names, but i think i'm getting my point across of what i'm talking about??

and it looks like it has big chrome trimming around the window in the oven door.

i have a pretty good feeling that this is definitely a "TOL" ge stove and i'm guessing it is a 40 inch stove?? the only thing, and this is because i don't know any of the model numbers is that, i don't know if it is a double-oven or if the smaller oven on the left hand side, is just a storage area??

sandy can tell us exactly what this GE stove is!!

It's TOL, And....

It's from about 1967.

Aside from that, I would proceed with caution, because it's in Mississippi, and could have some rust/corrosion issues with its cabinet and electronics due to the climate there.

As long as it has been kept in a house with a properly functioning air conditionig unit, it should not have a rust problem. None of my relatives had any problems with metal items (appliances or otherwise) rusting. Laundry equipment that was located out off the carport or garage was another story, however.

The reason I mentioned what I did was because A) it looks like it's in uncontrolled storage now in the photo and B) it's a range made before central air conditioning became the commonplace it is today. It could have spent several years - maybe even ten or more - before it got into A/C.

None of this means I know anything is wrong with the range - it could be 100% functional and pristine underneath the dust. Proceeding with caution is all I'm talking about.

Sandy, didn't mean to question your judgement. I agree if it wasn't always in a conditioned environment that the high humidity could cause trouble. I know it made my aunt's new freezer look old fast, as it was in the storage room off the carport.

GE began phasing in rotary controls across the line in the early '70s, though they began using them in the '60s. The 1972 catalog shows most units having rotary controls, but a couple of pushbutton units were still in the line.

CircleW: Just making sure I hadn't said anything that could be mis-understood as being prejudiced against the range for some reason.
