90’s Scents Today

Are there any 80’s and 90’s detergent/fabric softener scents still out there today?

There are still a few detergents left that have a fresh clean scent reminiscent of 80's detergents.

*Purex liquid with Clorox2 original

*Cheer liquid

*Tide powder with April Fresh Downy...look for a box with a date of 2019 or older..the newer scent has changed

*Oxydol "Smells so good" is hard to find but is on Amazon right now.

*Lemishine "Fresh off the line scent"

As for fabric softeners, I haven't found one that I've liked since April Fresh Downy was destroyed. All the others I've tried have a nasty sweet floral scent.

I wish P&G would bring back the original scents of Tide powder and April Fresh Downy!

I think NuSoft liquid is still available - not widely. However, you can order it from the company - Malco Products (Barberton, Ohio)- they also make Bluette liquid bluing along with several other household items. NuSoft still smells quite a lot like it always did. I don't normally use fabric softeners, but occasionally will use this on some line dried towels.

Downy

I agree with you superba1, other than Clean Breeze. It is the only tolerable FS on the market other than Downy Free. I do use a little Downy April Fresh from the EcoBox with towels. Not too hateful after they are dried.
Tide Oxi actually smells decent!
Cheer liquid doesn't smell the same.
Tide Clean Breeze was changed recently.
I did not know Tide plus Downy April Fresh powder changed. That has me PO'd!

Nusoft

I've never seen Nusoft on the west coast. What does it smell like? Anything like powdery vintage April fresh Downy?

Right now my favorite scents are: Mountain Fresh Tide powder and Cool Cotton Downy. I sure do miss those 80’s and 90’s scents.
