Hey fellas. I went out yesterday and took pictures of 3 vintage finds. I don't have space or time to pick up and hold anything, but if you are interested I can get you the contact info for the stores selling these beauties and you can work out shipment, negotiate on prices, or pickup with them. :).

Anyways, first up a beautiful wood tone coldspot for $75. I forgot to take pics of the inside, but it looked pretty good. I love the handles.[this post was last edited: 4/20/2014-09:15]

Working low end 1959 Kenmore dryer... The tag says something like, "$75 as is or $125 if we clean up."

Would this be the BOL of the line or would a frog eye model still be below this?

The range is a 1969-70 "P" model. The 1971 "S" model was similar but had different knobs and woodgrain trim instead of black trim.

The range is located at the
Youth Challenge Thrift Store
5100 Jefferson Ave, Newport News, VA 23605
(757) 247-6377

The fridge and dryer are at different stores in the area. If there is any interest, I will post the addresses, or pm me.

norgeway's next new stove (hopefully)

norgeway, classic white, classic mid-century American engineering and build quality worthy of a 5 year nationwide warranty according to the use and care guide-which must have an Ebay value of some dollars itself, and looks to be in great condition, it might be a 5 hour drive but also an adventure with classic black and white chrome trimmed treasure just waiting-hope you get it. Any meal prepared with this stove will even TASTE better!!Right?

Hans, I hope you get it too or at the very least someone who will appreciate it!  If I had a newer house, I'd consider it.  That said, my 1950 Frigidaire fits my place well and still works like a champ and I don't have room for 3 stoves.  It is very similar to one my Great Aunt had, but it's been too long and I can't remember some of the details on hers.

I must say fellas, I'm surprised there isn't more interest in the dryer.  I know it's a low (the lowest?) Kenmore of the year, but like Bob said, I've never seen another like it.

If anyone is interested in the refrigerator or dryer (I'd still like to know about if it is the absolute BOL).

The refrigerator is at the restore at
Habitat For Humanity
1303 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185
(757) 246-4955

And the dryer is located at the yard sale (that is the name of the store), 13665 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 23602
(757) 812-7422
