Old South mindset

A couple of things about the area. First, the town of Stone Mountain is mostly black, so there could potentially be some tension there if your the only white folks on the block. Second, racial dynamics down here are like nothing out west. Blacks and whites in the South have a unique shared history, good and bad, that includes lots of old time religion. I saw in a previous post that you are gay and with a partner. Black and white don't agree on a lot of things down south, but one thing they do is that gay = bad (as in going to Hell bad), so be prepared for some degree of animosity from all sides. That said, Atlanta itself is big enough and diverse enough that, in the city at least, you probably won't have any problems.

<span style="font-family: verdana,geneva;">Well they asked two years would I be interested and of course I started house hunting on line.  It has now become an obsession because of all the houses I am seeing that I likely won't have because I don't know when/if this move is going to happen.  And there have been many I would have loved to buy!!</span>
