Yes Austin I know your birthday isn’t until the end of August but your birthday present is officially on its way to Texas. I want you to have this extra WO-65 that I restored last month. I already have a WO-65 and I certainly don’t need two of them so I want it to go to a home that I know will love and cherish it for years to come. You are a wonderful member of this club and we are very lucky to have young people such as yourself and Jamie and others so young interested in these fantastic old machines. Your parents were wonderful enough to arrange the shipping, so its on its way, it left here this morning.

When I was 17 I would have passed out right there and then to be surprised with a working 1952 Frigidaire washer. Heck with a 17 year old getting a Unimatic that means there is a chance of a Unimatic washer still running in the 22nd century. How fabulous is that! Anyway enjoy and please post pictures when you bake your first Unimatic Suds Cake!

Here is how it looked before it left for its journey this morning, hopefully it will arrive in the working condition that it left here, but if not I have no doubt you will having it up and running in no time flat.

Congratulations Austin!!!! What a wonderful birthday present. I know this is something that you will always cherish. Robert, what a wonderful thing to do and as you mentioned it is so exciting to think that a Unimatic could still be running in the 22nd. century. We are all so lucky to belong to this group and this is a perfect example of why.

Re:

Robert, what a wonderful great Gift, as you said, to one of our younger Members, to have one of these Vintage Machines operting in the 22nd Century and hopefully maybe even longer, who knows.

"Happy Birthday" Austin and many, many more happy returns of your great day. Enjoy your great gift, besides what else might someone give another Vintage Laundry Machine Lover anyway as a gift...

Peace, Happy "GM" Frigidaire Unimatic Washing Days

So hey, Austin I have

an idea for your birthday. (I think a lot of the wonderful club members would agree.) Don't open your new washer packaging until your actual day is here. Think you could do it? How wonderful to see such beautiful machine going to such a wonderful home! Congrats!

Robert, what a guy, you are a very sweet person.

Steve

Austin, a very Happy Birthday! You're a lucky boy to get such a gift and to have a cool mom like Venus. I know you'll cherish and enjoy the 52 unimatic for years to come and keep it in top notch shape. Robert, what a terrific guy you are and I too am glad to see young members like Austin and Jamie carrying the vintage washer torch. I am looking forward to seeing pics of your first load with a great big bubble cake - much better than a tarditional birthday cake anyday. :)

Les

WOW!!! It isn't at all possible for me to show (or contain for that matter) my excitement in that fact that I'm getting a working, fully restored Unimatic!!!

Robert, I can't thank you enough for this wonderful and thoughtful gift.. It's great to have an awesome webmaster and a nice, friendly forum to share this hobby as well as many others!

My birthday is the 27th, and it will probably arrive here by that time...WOOHOO!!!!

And guys, A wash-in is DEFINITELY in order!!

Congratulations Austin!!!

Happy birthday Austin!!! How many people get a classic restored washer for their B'day?! :)

Robert you are one wonderful webmaster, i actually got a little choked up.

Pat

You are very welcome Austin, enjoy. You will not need HE or expensive low-suds detergent anymore, a Unimatic just laughs at suds that choke most other washers. No modern washer could ever handle suds so well or get the wash done so quickly. It is an amazing machine!

But please do remember to be careful around that machine during spin, a Unimatic doesn't take "no" for an answer when it comes to spinning.

Happy Birthday Austin. I know you will really enjoy that gorgeous working machine. :) Robert, what a truly from the heart gift. It nice to see that people will still do truly caring things for others. All ya'll take care.

Joel

Happy Birthday Austin !

I cant imagine the joy you must be feeling Austin! You have wonderful parents! I am grinning from ear to ear at the anticipation you must be feeling right now!! If you have a wash-in let me know. I may be able to make it down that way. Would love to see YOUR FULLY RESTORED FRIGIDAIRE UNIMATIC !!! YAY !!!!! I Might be able to work out picking up Bob on the way. I have friends in Killeen and Temple. <p> Robert, Your kind and generous heart gives me renewed hope in the human race. I had really came to a point in my life when I did not think it was worth investing the time or energy into people anymore. I have my friends and family and that was that. This site and the great members I have met here are changing my mind quickly. Blessings to you!!

You guys are too much!

Way to go, Austin. There's nothing like spending teenage years washing away in a Unimatic!
Leave the lid open & throw some article of clothing in & watch it go! It's a real Woo-hoo
Congrats again, Jerry
