How does the spin compare with the F&P?
C'mon Jason, there are more cycles to try. I'm curious about the stain treat option how it's like or not like the F&P. I actually want some comparitives with the F&P.
And btw Helen, you look so cute with your tongue sticking out. Umm, Jason, did u take advantage of the moment???

SUCCESS!
A perfectly executed Bob Load now tumbling in the dryer and all done with the lid wide open.
Here's how to do it. Buy a pack of magnets from Radio Shack and put them on the right side of the door lock. Start the washer, as soon as the lid lock pokes out, push it back in a little. It wants resistance so it will know the door is really closed. Once the red "door lock" light is on, you can now enjoy a complete cycle, uninhibited by a tinted window.

Stain Treat
If you don't select Stain Treat, then the washer will quickly spin the clothes after the sump has been emptied in the load sensing phase of normal cycles. With Stain Treat, the tub spins slowly for about 5 seconds after the spray is cut and before it revs up to expel the soapy water. I have some videos of a complete cycle on YouTube, some with different options selected. I'm going to put up my Bob Load videos soon.

The spin is 1050rpm and the tub is wider than the F&P tub. It extracts ALOT of water from the clothes, more than any washer I've seen so far. The stain treat cycle expands on the load sensing/catalyst cycle. The washer floods the detergent dispenser, then the recirc comes on until the sump pump is dry, then it will spin at a slow speed. Without Stain Treat, this happens about 4 times before going into wash. With Stain Treat, this happens about 10 times and the spin speeds are faster. Adds minutes to the cycle.
And yes, I've always taken advantage of the moment when there's a tongue involved.

What are you thoughts about the dryer? Did you get the Electric Dryer, or the Gas version?

Well, I finally got to try the Oasis this morning. I have an LG washer and dryer that is three years old and am really happy with them. My mom had the Neptune 4000 washer and dryer since 1999, and believe it or not never has had a problem with them, including any mold, or anything. When my dad was ill she had caregivers, and they helped with the laundry, and really made a mess of the washer and dryer from a costmetic standpoint. So I talked mom into donating the old washer and dryer to the church, and get the oasis top of the line in diamond black.
I did the first load in it of course, and to help things out my dog got sick in my bed this morning. The load consited of a king duvet cover, king bottom sheet, 2 king pillow cases, 2 standard pillow cases. 3 large heavy king size bath towels, a bath mat, and various socks, underwear, and wash clothes. Everything was white or cream colored. I used the sheets towel cycle and selected highest soil level and second rinse. I did not pretreat and used Tide HE and downy.
I was surprised that the machine took quite a while to fill, from start of 63 minutes, to finally agitating at 56 minutes. It really wasn't doing much else but filling, but mostly through the dispenser. The load was to the top, and because of some steam, I couldn't really tell the amount of rollover. I watched more closely during the rinse, and I didn't think the amount of water would rinse the clothes thoroughly, but it did. Well, the load came out completely clean, and the duvet (thanks to Daisy) and soiled socks were all like brand new. I was amazed! After drying them they were nice and fluffy, and they must have rinsed well, because there was no sign of the Tide or Downy fragerance. Which I actually do like to have!LOL! I am very impressed. I only hope there are not any service issues, or my mom will kill me. Oasis gets my very critical stamp of approval!

Frequency of loads washed increases, water temperature decreaswes. Ugh, wouldn't survive with me when Imi' doing mega laundry loads.
Jeff, thanks for the link. I'd love to see the tech info sheet that's on the inside of hte front of the washer. I am assuming this has the cycles broken down as to length of time for each phase/option added as well as movement of the wash plate (ugh, sorry) and stuff like that. That's the meat & potatoes I am also looking for. And, do you have any info on the agitator verison yet? I've seen the owners manual online, but ... Thanks Bob
