Appears to be a graduate of Miss Emerson's Charm School......
Got to give credit to Montgomery Wards marketing department, to at least try and make a plain old everyday Westinghouse appear "different".........Why, it completely coordinates with those 70's "Early American" laundry rooms, in country "charm" Harvest Gold! (YUK!!!!)

This is the set that was listed on ebay a couple of times, by a very difficult to deal with seller.........I tried to bid the first time and he removed it at the last minute of the auction, for no reason given.........I finally won the bid the second time.........but he didnt get any bids on the dryer. So when I went in person to pick up the washer, he sold me the dryer too..........
He was actually very nice in person,,,, but but but.........kind of a nut case too.......oh well, alls well that ends well!

Im not quite sure, but I dont think the Montgomery Wards versions of the Westinghouse washer had the flowing lint filter. At least this model does not. Instead it had the removable center from the agitator with the lint filter built into it...........

Make a shirt out of it???? Nah! Thats a completely different Lucy episode from Miss Emerson's Charm School! (One doesnt slimply lump along like a sack of meal!!)

NO NO NO must be a SKIRT or SKORT which ever you're into.
Love that Wards set. I've never seen anything like that control panel. I just feel all Tammy Wynette now---- Stand by your agitator......

Oh Tammy help me, you big blond tease!

The first shot is SO Kitchen Candy Cupboard? Candy Cupboard Kitchen ? It was a box of chocolates, local or national? Long Beach Mike, come to the rescue!

Only you would have the comedy and the campiness to get machines so tricked out. Non-stop smiles, Jimmy-- when's the next warsh-in?

Amazing and interesting. They should be saved on the control panels alone!!! I've never seen anything like it. I had extremely limited monkey wards exposure growing up. Jimmy, thak you for all the close-up shots too!!!! Bob

That is one of the strangest things I have ever seen on a washer. Maybe it was made with those in mind who due to space limitations have to have their washer & dryer set in their kitchen. The control panel looks awfully kitchen-kitchy.

one couldn't tell...wow!

from the fleaBay pic posted that the washer control panel would look anything like this!!! MW's attempt to jazz up the appliance line when maybe they didn't have the cash? OT...anyone else remember in the 70s how AMC, strapped for cash, went and gussied up it line of 2 and 4dr Hornets and rebadged them 'Concorde' - stuffed the seats to make them look like Lazy Boy style recliners, padded vinyl roof, heavy shag carpet and faux wood on the dash, etc. Back on topic...the dryer vent screen and interior door resembles a Frigidaire's of that era...
