A Christian We Can All Appreciate

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

The last time I checked, love is the glue that holds the universe together. Most religions and spirtual ways-of-thinking say so.

So the minute a holy-roller starts judging others they are already sinning and not doing Jeebus' work.

IIRC Jeebus is quoted to have said:

"O AKOULOUTHON EME MHN PERIPATEI EN SKOTATHI ALL TO FOS THS ZOHS". (Biblical Greek)

"HE WHO FOLLOWS ME SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS BUT IN (or shall have) THE LIGHT OF LIFE."

Not he who worhsips.
Not he who glorifies.
Not he who "witnesses".
Not he who pays lip-service.
Not he who sits in judgemet, but simply HE WHO FOLLOWS.

So the trick is to BE CHRIST-LIKE, and for me that means:

Humble
Quiet
Apolitical
Respectful and non-judgemental.
Kind, compassionate and forgiving.
Well read, well-studied and with a positive attitude.
Pray, fast, and meditate and you too can become like J.C.

I have no use for the "gentleman" who thusly spoke and was recorded.

One can be a believer and show it by good deeds and good character rather than speaking the name of Jeebus emptily and acting a fool.

UGH Too much said.

Here is my advice to everyone including myself-- enjoy your twisted-@$$ religion, but don't be shoving it down anyone's throat. WE are ALL limited by our own

intelligence
reigion
language
zip/postal code
life experiences
upbringing
life circumstances

etc, etc, etc.

Now breaking out of the box and learning new and better ways to think; now THAT is the challenge.

Peace out.

I don't know what to think

about the clip, but I found it amusing, particularly after the Yoplait spot was over.

Oh, and count me in as a member of the "Emeril Should Go Away" club. I liked his solo show, "The Essence of Emeril" the best.

I thought it was clever with a great punch line. I'll bet the guy's 420-friendly.

It's not my intent with this thread to provide commentary on organized religion. I just think this guy is a refreshing change from the standard fare of pious religious programming.

Cheesus, what is up with all this temperamental BS around here lately?

It's my own fault. I was far too presumptuous and giving way too much credit to the . . . er . . . masses with this thread's title.
