I thought to myself, what better way to celebrate 60 years of Her Majesty's reign than to get myself another piece of Hotpoint. Today I found a lovely little WM12 from March 1996 making it one of the last ones made since WM14 replaced WM12 in April 1996. Very clean condition internally, just needed a new suspension rod, pump (Plaset of course!) and door seal. Still a wee bit smelly but a few boil washes will sort that out. I dont normally collect basic models but this is such a dinky model so I couldnt refuse. The 9534 is being rebuilt.

Did some rearranging and cleaning up in the shed today. I hope you like the new line up. I really must find a machine dryer for the 9534 and WM12 now. I am thinking of a TL22 as that was our first dryer. I'm really happy with what I have right now. I just hope space doesnt get tight! The 9534 was rebuilt out of two machines and is one fabulous machine now!

Sorry I don't post much but attempt to read when I can. Is this the same wash house you've been working to fix up for the past year? Perhaps I'm thinking of someone else, but if not, it's looking quite superb and I really enjoy the machines and space you've created. Nicely well done and I hope you're enjoying it!

Wow James!

Lovely shed and just love your collection all round! They are just superb. And I just love WM12s - they are just lovely with their high gloss plastic fascias . I also have saved this machine wich I have allways wanted, its a WM64!

My Friend had a Hotpoint almost like a WM64 but...

It came in a dark grey colour fascia (pre-haps the old graphite), 3 dials, one for temperature, one for spin, one for programmes, but I am sure the options were Super Rinse, Rinse Hold, Pulse spin, Time saver. I am also sure it was 1400rpm.
What Model Hotpoint is this?? Could it have been a limited edition, as I know most had only 1200rpm max, and most had automatic pulse spin???
Would love to know if anyone knows. Thanks.

Hi guys,

Yes this is the same shed finally looking very cosy and useful! I'm enjoying nearly every minute I spend in it.

Christopher, thank you and I wish you all the best with your WM64N, a close relative to my WD61N. Sorry about your other Hotpoint, you should salvage the tub so that you will always have the bearings you bought for it should the opportunity arise that you find another WMA machine. I have 3 complete tubs with sound bearings at the back of the shed with approx 5 GDA motors, 4 timers and modules and other bits of trim and kit!

Good old hotpoint

I can see a hotpoint wm12 on the photos - These machines were quite good apparantly, according to some other fellow members on this website. I never had one, but I did have the WM64 until 2005. Happy Washing, and I look forward to see some vids of it soon.

The programmes on my zanussi:

James

I love the Hotpoint WM12. After doing 1 weeks worth of laundry in one, it brings out results like no other!

Where has your Ultima spin - splider vanished to? :)

Glenfieldmatk1, possibly this mystery machine could be a WM83, the last WM.

Best wishes with the WM12A and the lovely 9534A

mystery machine

Hi Glenfieldmathk1, It sound slike you're describing the Hotpoint Aquarius 1200 Plus WM65, which had 3 dials and was graphite/zircon silver. I'll try an find a picture if I can, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. :)
