Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hi Mark

Beens ages since I've seen you on here - hope all is well! The Philips looks good - my aunt had the gold version of that one! Does it still run?

Any sign of any Galas or GE Filter Flos over there?

David

Some classics for sure........

And slightly disappointing for me to see not 1 but 2 Electrolux Insights :( - I have the EWF12108W (currently with a full load of white towels etc in).

Love the Philips machines you've got fella, are they all working happily?

Shockingly high amount of broken Bosch machines - (i presume they don't work), and also a few too many Electrolux Group ones for my liking too!

Like Seamus, im shocked/disappointed to see two insights dead already, and it looks like theres one of the latest Zanussi Essentials in one of the pics too. Looks identical to my Mums one, a ZWF14170W.

Is that old Zanussi Washcraft completely dead do you know?

Liam.

Candy

Paul,
I have the P 6.11, doesn't spin drain, as any Candy i've ever seen

...you'd have to use these things to vanish your love *LOL*
go figure a 60°C cycle in the mieles is far more effective than a boilwash made in this poor thing

anyway i' m shocked too by all those Zanussi and Bosch.
Maybe some people dump washers just because of a minor fault ? It sounds a bit odd in these hard times ...

Smiles and frowns ...

I grinned when I saw the first picture - the Bendix. My mum had a single-dial model (no temperature selector) from about 1981.

I frowned (like many others) when I saw all the dead Bosching machines ... because the model mum replaced her poor dear unable-to-repair Bendix with about two years ago was one of those.

It really surprised me to see so many machines that looked just like currently available models. Are things really that poorly made nowadays?

Bosch

My friend recently bought a Bosch washer thinking it was made in Germany. When I lokked at the quality of the machine I said no way.

He emailed Bosch and they said it either made in Poland, or Turkey.

The interesting pics have me wondering

if Ireland had twinnies in the majority before the front loaders, and if there are any/many top loaders in Erin.

Fields of Dreams

Hi Mark, great selection of machines you have there, love the old silver blue Phillips, and those quiet induction bendix, usually kept running for years..

Pity about the modern stuff, pretty shocking, I wonder if a lot was just out of guarantee and cheaper to get one on the store card than pay cash repair & have to wait for parts etc..

Dead Bosch

I was only commenting the other day on how many broken Bosch machines there have been on ebay recently. Mainly recent models such as the Classixx. Sign of the times I guess. Make it to just last the warranty out like most other brands
