What I consider a "Bob Load", might not be what the real Bob considers a "Bob Load". Nonetheless, every spot is occupied in the Potscrubber, neatly arranged so that every item gets blasted with water.

I'll tell you right now, those spatulas and tongs on the far left won't get much water so you have to scrub the crap off of it before you put it in the machine.

Jason,
Show a picture of the front of your dishwasher.
I think you have the only running rapid-advance GE Potscrubber in the club!
Great Machine!
Brent

I thinnk I've seen one or ttwo more Brent, but you may be right. I now wish I had held on to my since it's so inique.

Bob....

I did not remember....
Was yours a rapid advance GE?
I always thought they were so cool!
GE had some very good dishwashers back in the day.
What happened to yours?
Brent

Potscrubber 1200

Here it is. Is this like yours, Bob? and yes, I know it needs to be cleaned. Suggestions?

Hey Bob! Can you tell what are the differences between the cycles? "Energy saver, Normal, Heavy, Potscrubber"

I know Potscrubber is a long cycle. Normal and Heavy seem to take the same amount of time. What are the differences? Which one should I use if I'm using Cascade 2-in-1 pacs? I'm guessing energy saver doesn't heat the water?

Also, am I loading it correctly? I don't have a manual so I just guess at it?

Thanks.

Model Variations

How many model variations have there been on this machine? I seem to recall one with a porcelain interior.

Pyrex

Jason,
be careful putting colored Pyrex in the dishwasher the detergent will eat away the finish on them, thats too collectable a color to ruin
Ron

So Heavy Soil gives me two short rinses before the main wash as opposed to one long rinse on Normal. That means, if I'm using a tablet, all I need is Normal, right?

I didn't know I could load cups on that folding rack either... HMMMM...

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

Thanks for the links

Jason, fyi, I used Light Soil (the equivalent of your Normal soil) on 98% of my loads and that was with stuff sittin for up to a week, oatmeal and rice. No cleaning problems. But I used cascade complete powder.

Jason, FYI I'd put mugs that would fit under that fold down rack and then I put the disposeable gladware on the folddown--I still dow that with the Kenmore. Never a cleaning problem.

And if all your cups and mugs are too tall to go underr that fold-down rack, then put those cereal bowls there. There's some ways to get more in that load for sure.

I am digging the water sounds in your dishwasher!
I saw this same model not all that long ago that came out of a church kitchen. It was rarely used. It was white in color. Ten bucks. I wish I would have bought it. I also passed on a white digital model once. I guess I thought that I would see more of them. I never see them anymore.
Bob, what was wrong with yours when you replaced it?
Brent

Ron, thanks for the info. They are vintage and I will hand wash them from now on.

Bob, I never thunk of putting stuff on top of the folding rack. I thought it was there to hold down plastic stuff. But putting the plastic stuff way up there won't hurt it either.

I also know if you load bowls in the top rack like the manual says, it will make it impossible to put mugs next to it (we like coffee, can you tell?).

Again, YOU THE MAN!

Pyrex

Jason
what do u have in the bowl set I have the amish butterprint set and primary colors set as well
adore old pyrex
we love coffee as well and use my vintage precolators all the time

Again, YOU THE MAN!

No offense to anyone is intended.

The "party line" (answer) to that is always...

"Between the two of us someone has to be"

Much more effective if both parties are male.

:-)
