Yesterday my wife went to an estate/tag sale while I was at work, something we usually do together. Well, I'm sure glad that she went alone. The reason being, she found 2 boxes of china to match the pattern of some cups, plates, saucers etc. that her uncle gave us about a year ago. The pattern is called Norway Rose by Cunningham & Pickett. The china itself was made by Homer Laughlin, and decorated and distributed by C & P. She bought the following pieces: 8 dinner plates, 8 dessert plates, 13 tea cups, 14 saucers, 5 salad plates, 8 soup bowls, 1 11 7/8" platter, 1 creamer, 1 sugar bowl w/ lid, 10 sauce dishes, 1 gravy boat with underplate/relish tray, and 1 vegetable bowl. What was the grand total you ask? $125 for all. What I thought was white gold trim on the pieces is actually platinum. The reason that there are so many of one thing and so few of others is that these were given as grocery store premiums. From what I have been able to find, this pattern dates from the early to mid 60's. I love the simplicity of the pattern.

Tim, very very nice. I"m not one for flowers on dinnerware/china, but this one I like for its simplicity. And a big blessing thankyou to your wife. I already figured out she's pretty awesome woman. Bob
