Servis UK ArticlesItalian whitegoods manufacturer Antonio Merloni is on the brink of bankruptcy after applying for government protection by going into administration under a process know as the Marzano Law – an equivalent to the US Chapter 11 or UK administration.

Antonio Merloni manufactures products under the Ardo, HomePub and Technogas brands, and also owns Servis UK.

This makes me very happy that was poor excuse for machines can be churned out any longer!

Maybe a good company will buy them. because i was asko to survive! I would imagine Whirlpool would buy them out as they are very much in each others pockets!

Dont get too happy - many people could loose their jobs.

This Marazano law also means that the company can be protected and that hopefully someone will buy the company out and turn it into a profitable business.

And I would rather a European made Servis than a Chinese made Haier - In Australia no washing machines are manufactured anymore.

Well obviously people would lose jobs, thats not what i was promoting. And like i said they have such a close knit relationship with whirlpool i'm pretty sure they would buy them out. Had you owned a s**ty servis like the one i had you'd be glad to see the back of them!

Yes they do. Thats the only reason i can think of that someone should buy that company! They ruined a fine british name!

Antonio Merloni and his shoddy products deserve to go under. Yes, I know they own Asko, but their worse than poor Servis products alone let the whole company down.

If they weren't prepared to keep up the reputation of the Servis name, they shouldn't have used it. The after sales service is absolutely apalling by all accounts. From rude customer service to non existant engineers, this is no way to run a business, and they have suffered the consequences.

We have just replaced my mothers Asea Cylinda 12000 (1989) and now Asko with a new Fisher and Paykel front loader (Beko)...

We avoided Asko specifically as they are not nearly the machine they were 20 years ago. She's happy with the F&P and it was half the price....
