Found this whilst traveling around Google:

"THEY that wash Monday got all the week to dry,
They that wash Tuesday are pretty near by,
They that wash Wednesday make a good housewife,
They that wash Thursday must wash for their life,
They that wash Friday must wash in need,
They that wash Saturday are sluts indeed."

The tradition that surrounds my brand of Voo-doo (religion) does not really like laundry done on Sunday, Good Friday, Easter or Christmas.

When I was a renter with a small wahser and no dryer, I'd wash on Mon, Wed and Fri which allowed for two days of the stuff to dry on the indoor clothes-rack.

Saturday was for towels and sheets and "overflow" using the building's laundry room (GE filter flo-s, BTW).

Voo-Doo; Shmoo-Doo!

I usually change all the bedding on Sunday morning and finish the week's washing. We have enough bedding to hold out for a nice clothesline day so all the bedding goes on the line during the spring/summer/fall months.

When I was younger and a little more "social" shall we say, the clotheslines were sagging every Sunday. Now, it's just me that's sagging!

Under normal circumstances I wash twice a week. Once mid-week on Wednesday, and another time on either on Saturday or Sunday, *sometimes* Friday afternoon. And I beg to differ on the heathen and slut messages...

Ahh

I understand Sunday as the Lord's day and no work shall be done. BUT I consider washing to be playtime instead of work, so that makes it ok.

Ida know. for money or for fun, a good girl (or at least one who has a pure heart) just has to have boudnaries and limitations.

Here are the words to the song translated from the Greek. Sorry kids but the words in English pale in comparison.

So just remember NEVER ON A SUNDAY.. *WINK*
