I have seen many original kitchen set ups where pastel colors were mixed and matched, both in their original day and today. Many times the yellow and aqua turquoise were mated. But I had never seen this done on a stove... until I found this bright and cheerful 1955-56 Westinghouse 30" range in yellow and aqua! It appears to be original, the top is yellow, the oven door and lower drawer are aqua; if the sides were yellow, I was thinking this could be a case of swapping the door and drawer (not that finding an aqua parts range would be easy, but perhaps if it was done long ago?). However, the sides are also aqua, which would make an after-market top swap more complicated and expensive, dealing with the wiring and controls. So I had to conclude that it appears to be factory. And the appliance gods were smiling on me, as John Combo52 was driving right past this stove so he was able to check it out and confirm that it appears original! So of course the rest is history, it's in his van making its way east to brighten my collection!
