im 29, and i LOVE to discover new disco songs. too bad the bulk of disco/dance classics are forgotten. im in the middle of downloading *love attack* and it sounds fabulous. im not sure what i think about the Vidal. if its hi-nrg, i prefer earlier ones. waiting Gary...

LOL

if that *la bamba* is what i THINK it is, a local food rest here called *Taco Cabana* used that song in the 80's in their commercials AND the track was also used as the fanfare for the Drag Show at a club called *paper moon* as late as the mid 90s!!

Very interesting thread. Here's what I think of when I think about getting down...LOL.

Dontcha--Pussycat Dolls
My Hump--Black Eyed Peas
Get Down Tonight--KC & The Sunshine Band
Night Fever & You Should be Dancing--Bee Gees
Superfreak--Rick James
Beat It--MJ
And ANYTHING by James Brown

Now music to wash to on the other hand is a completely different story...

gary is seated, wearing the drab earth tones. i just remembered *cant fake the feeling* by geraldine hunt and anything by Simon Soussan...

I like the old eastern Polish style, Bernie Witkowski was amazing.
Duck Hunting Polka, Farmer's Daughter Polka, Wedding Bells Polka, You can't nap through that stuff, it rocks the house!

I would have to say that any song that has the 1st part of my screen name in the title does it for me. Helps me stay connected to my German/Pommeranian heritage. Don't get me started on the different styles of polka music, I could ramble on for days about the different genres, and the pros & cons of each IMO.

was *funkytown* on more than one Lipps Inc. album? i have the one with *rock it* and i love it. i kinda like *rock it* more that f-town...
