Noticed on the Walmart Canada Black Friday site something I'd not seen before. A new Sunbeam planetary mixer ($178 cdn) which looks somewhat like a Cuisinart/Kenwood clone. Not much online about it and it appears to be available only in Australia and Canada that I can see.. The Canadian model shows as 600 watts, the Aussie version 1000 watts. Anyways.. for you mixer enthusiasts.. here's a link the the Aussie Sunbeam youtube

That looks like the newer version of the Kenmore I got years ago. It takes all the KA attachments, but uses different bowl. It seems pretty strong, but mine instead of the "soft start" promised usually starts at high speed and then slows down, PIA. It's also very hard on the ears.

Overhere lots of cheap and somewhat more expensive standmixers have appeared on the market. It seems like the new trend with baking competitions on TV. Some of them are so lighty built that I can't imagine they can handle heavy doughs at all.

America's test kitchen tested some standmixers. They didn't test a Kenwood, but perhaps Cuisinart is similar to Kenwood?

Kenwood was bought out by Delonghi. The Cuisinarts look similar but not the same company. I believe those Sears Elite mixers were Kenwood/Delonghi rebadges. A lot of Cuisinart appliances I've noticed look like other company models. They have a toaster oven with the pop up door like the old GE's. , a blender that looks like the old Proctor Silex's , that salad maker that looks like the old WestBend or was it Presto Salad Shooter. Not a big fan of their products because they don't seem to last. But just like Sunbeam they're (Cuisinart) a "company" in name only now and no connection really to the original companies that actually made appliances.
