They look absolutely fantastic! Really is great to see part of the Hoover lineup of 1978, all in one place and next to one another.

Does the Key really need cleaning, as it looks in fine fettle.

I cant remember their names but I am sure that the couple who cared for your A3060 for the first 31 years of its life, would be absolutely thrilled to see it now! She wasn't that impressed with its replacement and had bought the new machine, only because they had had a new kitchen installed and everything was integrated.

You are just looking for an A3090 Automatic and A3064 Selectamatic 1100, to complete the wet lineup, and a D6040 Compact to complete the dry. I cant wait to see pics of that lineup!

well it could do with a bit more cleaning and as the end of the original rubber hose had been removed i found another rubber hose end today and have joined it to the original hose with a back-to-back connector, providing the glue holds i will re-fit it to the machine

Great work there Gary, with hoovers smooth new AC electronic control, you can safely leave your tea and fags ontop of the polished machine, with out fear of it vibrating off during the 1100 spin.

Paul, it's hard to believe that A3060 set is mine and on sunday they were in more than regular use, 4 loads, I spent saturday working on the inside of the dryer, new bearings on the drum and fan, so it now just hums away as if new out of the box. Thanks for the elbow grease and great photos.

Hoover Keymatic 1100 not spinning

Dear All,
I have an old Hoover A3062. When it reachs the final spin (fast spin) it didnt move completely till the end of the program.

I have tested the motor speratly and do the fast spin without a problem
The tacometer is not giving open circuit
The water pressure swith is OK.

Can any one help with this?

Hi

A common cause for these machines not spinning is the water pressure bottle on the back of the tub being partially blocked, you will have take this off completely and clear it out.
It is not a difficult job but be careful removing the bottle from the rubber tube it is attached to as it can break.
I have attached a picture of the pressure bottle I am talking about
