Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hey, I should get some credit too. I guessed a Lady Kenmore Combo from the late 1950s. The Kenmore was the UPSCALE version of this combo because it had timed dispenseers as well as AUTOMATIC dry cycles rather than timed on the WP.

And congratulations. Another one saved.

Hi Cory, Congratulations on another great find. When we were at Roberts in December we had had great fun using his. We washed three down jackets in one load with plenty of room to spare. That tub is huge. Is this an electric or gas dry? I bet that was a beast to move, I suppose it was in a basement?? Have fun. Terry

WOO HOO Cory.

This machine is so wonderful for a collection. They hardly made any noise, at least the one and only time I ever saw one in Pennsylvania in 1982.

congrats

Steve

Hi Cory and Ben, YAY, glad you rescued it. Have you dared to plug it in yet? Be sure to have plently of hot water in the pump before you do.

Woo-Hoo for Whirlpool!

Fantabulous you guys! Keep up the good Karma!

Happy Combo-ing

Venus :-D

Swoon, Drool ...

Wow!

What an awesome find!

What were they thinking when they designed this machine? It has to be on the heaviest machines ever built. That being said, it's one of my all time favorite machines. Thanks for saving it!

Does it still work? Both as a washer and a dryer? Or will it need work to get it up and running?

Is this the gas or the electric version?

How did you find it? Where did you find it?

First Bob's Easy and now a Whirlpool combo! I shouldn't say this too loudly but 2006 is starting out to be a very good year. Let's hope it continues!

Mike

Thanks for the compliments guys! This baby was rescued from the very south of Indiana out of its original cellar. It hasn't been connected for at least a decade so who knows its condition? Thankfully, the current (second) owner checked the net and found that these things are collectable, otherwise I heard what its fate was going to be, and it didn't sound pretty. Very cool guy by the way-

I plan on giving this one a full tear down, clean-up and rebuild for some dependable service when the time arrives. And thankfully, this is the electric version! -Cory
