Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Rodrigo, have you taken care of these machines for a long time? years?

Is the Lourdes Sanctuary like a convent or school?

Those machines look very OLD! Do you think they got them new?

Very interesting thing to share, Rodrigo!

And of course they look almost exactly like the side-box Whirlpools made in the USA during the mid-to-late 60's. They were--ARE-- great machines. Maybe a member has one of them and would post a pic.

Rodrigo, could you translate the words "Brastemp" and "Plenomatica" ? Thanks !

What do you wash in those machines?

"Brastemp" is the number 1 appliances brand here in Brasil (till today), i'ts from Whirlpool! "Bras" remembers Brasil and "temp" is of temperature! that's how the brand were created! "Plenomatica" is the model of this washer... it is a mix of the words "pleno" that means Full and "automatica" that means automatic! so, plenomatica remembers "fully automatic"!

Thanks so much for sharing.

It is so cool to see Whirlpool in other countries and how similar they are to here.

Thanks again.

Perfect--Thank You

Whirlpool still makes the best washers in America

Cool that you're "broadcasting" from a Lourdes shrine because Brastemp/Whirlpools are truly miracle machines--over 50 years old and still surging away

YAY for Whirlpool/Brazfeel

Hi Brett:
I take care of these machines since 2004 when I restored the Super Filtromática washer. Next Monday I start restoration the Plenomática washer. The sanctuary is like a convent but few people reside here.
Rodrigo

Maybe you can document your work on the Plenomatica with some pictures? And maybe some more pictures of the Lourdes building? I think everyone would enjoy that.

Thanks for the pictures! I think I'm a much bigger fan of Brastemp than I was ever of Whirlpool. I wish I had taken pictures of the machines in the rectory of my church school.

Was thinking of you this week: I was in an international supermarket in Astoria, Queens where there was a whole section of Brazilian laundry products. I picked up some "OMO" detergent. Will scan the box soon.

Great pictures Rodrigo, thank you. OOOh that black tub ring is soooo cool! Something we have never seen with American belt-drive Whirlpool made washers.

Thankyou for posting the pics. Nice machines. Rodrigo, I wonder what year the historic sanctuary was built? Beautiful architecture. alr2903

Vinicius. Thanks

Hi Brett. I think I can post photos of my work on the Plenomática.

Baja. Omo is the best Brazilian soap.

Robert. Unfortunately the tub ring is not original. This is new 1983 to 1990. The original tub ring is made in white porcelain
