Ok, so my local seras is called Sears Grand.. It contains everything a normal sears would (auto center included) but also has some (not alot but some) food, makeup, pharmacy crap and other k-mart items.. Im rather confused by this store...

Whats the point and purpose?? The sears at the Medows Mall is pathetic by comperesan.

I really think sears just draws ideas out of a hat, gets headlines and then moves on. Anyone else remember the Western auto debacle, WA was selling diehard batteries and roadhandler tires, then they closed the Western autos, i know K-mart and sears are shld holdings, they have one, very weird management model. alr2903

oh is THAT what it is.

I have seen one from the highway but not stopped in.

If I want Kmart quality I go to, er, Walmart. (Since Kmart's quality isn't as good as it was 20 years ago!).

Why on earth would I go to sears for anything, especially now that they've evidently started to outsource the production of Craftsman tools outside the country? I'll buy something else domestic.

Craftsman tools are now built in China. Many DeWalt tools are built in Mexico. Some Milwaulkee drills are made in Germany. Its harder to find tools built in the US unless you buy vintage ones. Many Milwaulkee tools are still made in US.Soux Tools are made in US-but dealers for them are not easy to find. They supply to the automative tool markets. They are VERY NICE tools-mainly they make drills.

electrics, yeah.

The electrics have been offshored since the 1980s. I was referring to hand tools -- wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.

I primarily use hand tools. Most of my electrics are Japanese made.
