Just more than a year old "out of warranty" Broan exhaust hood over the stove, the power switch for off low and high has already broken. Turned it on the other day and it just didn't seem correct. There is no direct setting now for low or high it just sort of slides between the two positions. Not happy about this since it wasn't a cheap hood. Have to check for parts and see how involved it is in replacing this. Maybe have the repair company come out and fix it so I can see first hand how to get into that part of the hood to replace it. I figure if it went already within close to a year this is going to be a normal replacement part. The last Broan hood I had, had a sliding switch that went from off to high but with unlimited positioning. Never had a problem with that one and it was at least 24 years old. I guess thats the problem. They don't make them like they used to.
