This past week I went to visit the house I grew up in. My family has owned it since 1938 and over the years we have collected a few interesting appliance that I wanted to share with you.

The first picture is of a 1950s electric paint remover
The secound is of a 1928 universal kettle
The third picture is of a 1930s apex vacume
The fourth is of a 1930s electric iron

That Apex vacuum looks a lot like an old GE or Royal.

The iron is similar to one I've had kicking around in a box for decades.  It may have been my grandmother's.  I just moved it again this past weekend as we cleared out of what had been the family home since 1960.

As it happens, I think our yearly driver Black & Decker iron got whisked away in the pedestal of the Affinity dryer when I sold that laundry pair.  Whether the vintage iron will be easy to get my hands on the next time I need one is anyone's guess.
