OMG!!!

Allen... thank you so much for sharing. I'm drooling.

I'm going to be in Long Beach at the end of August. I may just have to make a special trip up to Beverly Hills to visit the showroom--time permitting.

Miele Showroom

We have a Miele showroom in Princeton, NJ, about 30 min. away from where I live. I visited it last year, but since then it was remodeled. Now...i really have to re-visit.

Thinking of buying a Miele dishwasher.

I can tell ya that even though you spend do a bit more up front for a Miele they are 2nd to none. Once you use a Miele product like a washer or dryer or dishwasher you dont go back to anything else. Even the BOL Miele vacuum I have I love. They are very energy and water wise and they save money on electricity and such. You cant go wrong.

Mike, I was about to purchase a new Miele gas dryer then 9820 x-large capacity, (the new ones out), but I heard that they were having a lot of problems. So when my Maytag Neptune finally went, I bought a LG gas dryer, (controls on the back to match my 4yr old washer. The dryer is really nice. Tub is large, clothes that used to come out all wrinkled from the Maytag, come out pretty much wrinkle free. I attribute this to its large drum. Now the dryer matches the load from the washer. When I finally get my utility room straightened out, I will post pics.

Miele Dryer

The new mega dryers are awesome, huge capacity, and a very high CFM blower and the clothes dry very guickly with minimal wrinkles.

I have the Miele T9800 dryer and I do love it. But the drum is not as big as you might think. Try 6.36 cu ft and it does well with most loads. I do find that if I wash a capacity load in my Miele 4800 washer I do have to reduce the size of the load that goes into the dryer...or its wrinkle city for the load. The dryer is not quiet by any means. The airflow is very powerful...the most I have seen in a dryer for the home. More than the old Speed Queens with the filter in the door dryers. Loads do dry fast and the temp of the load doesnt get all that high. Not like an American dryer. More like body temp and maybe a bit more. Never had anything shrink in the dryer and everything comes out soft and fluffy.
Also the sensor system that the dryer uses is very sensitive. Once the dryer detects that a load is almost dry it will let me know what stage of dryness its in from Rotary Iron then drops down to hand Iron then Normal...if I choose Normal Dry then once the dryer hits Normal Dry it will shift rIght into Cool Down...once the load reaches the cool down temp the dryer will end the cycle. One big plus that I love about the dryer is the fact that the drum reverses. Makes drying sheets easy and unballs then if it senses it needs to. The dryer tumbles clockwise most of the time then for about 30 to 45 seconds it will tumble counterclockwise. There is a pause of about 2 seconds between motions. If i dont get to the dryer right away it will continue with a wrinkle guard cycle for almost 2 hours. Love this dryer and its very energy effecient as well. They consider it an HE dryer.
