Nick said in thread #7539...

You know there are so many of us UK members now, we really should get together some day.............

This got me thinking, that Nick is right, and perhaps we should all do one big UK meet up sooner rather than later! Any ideas on a place/venue and perhaps a suitable date guys? I would offer Lincoln as a suggestion as it is pretty central in the UK, and both Darren and I have a fair share of machines between us, however I'm not too sure how my parents will take it, so if there are any other ideas then fire away!

Have met up with a few members already (Darren, Dan and Steven) and have to say that in a small group it is an overwhelming experience, so we should all have a great time if there is more of us and perhaps host yearly meetups changing the venue each year...

If the Americans can travel hundreds of miles for a wash-in, then we can all surely travel for a couple of hours for a day or two of UK washing drama!

Just a few thoughts :-)

Good plan Jon

Only reason stopping me from hosting one would be inadequate space to put people up....only have a three bed house and two are used :-( and a wife fussing in the background plus toddler running about like a lunatic.....hmm......maybe we should hire a hotel conference room, ship all the washers in, have a crazy party, get high and instead of the proverbial TV, throw the washers out the window into the swimming pool to celebrate.........what am I thinking!!!! Anyone with any sensible ideas? There really needed to be more full stops in that post.

Having said that

if y'all can deal with the issues just mentioned I've be happy to get the beers in, light the barbecue.......and welcome everybody!

Wish i could come *grumbles*, tho i'm even thurther away than the american contingent but i'm coming over to the uk on holiday next year to visit reatives but i'm going travelling round the uk when i'm there to visit all the uk peoples (Jon, Sparkcymru, Dan etc...) so i'll catch up with all youse (pardon aussie slang, altho being a yorkshireman living in australia the lingo is not rubbing off on me all that much lol) guys then.

I would offer an Australian wash-in but i don't think aussie washers are intresting enough to make the trip, there are very few Australian made wahsing machines floating about these days, i don't have any, two japanese hitachis, an american whilrpool and a british bendix dryer (talk about multicultural lol). I would be happy to host one for anyone whos planning a trip down under but i don't have room to houuse anyone but we have good hotels here.

Anyway, i'm hijacking this thread so id better dash before jon kills me :P
