Always good to meet new members with our hobby and "Welcome" them into the madness, a few of us met at Al`s Emporium and met up with Mike who is Mikeymatic on AW, we also had chance to sort out the AEG integrated dishwasher sink and more new appliances for the washroom which is always a nice bonus...

AEG Integrated sink / dishwasher, washer & dryer

Here is the AEG integrated dishwasher sink from 1972 which is all separates but can be linked together with a dishwasher / washing machine and tumble dryer which would have made a statement in any kitchen of the era..the sink drainer is larger to accommodate the 60cm dishwasher unit..[this post was last edited: 8/1/2016-10:33]

AEG Integrated sink / dishwasher, washer & dryer

Linked up with its matching of the era style AEG Lavamat Tumble Dryer, we are on the look out for the matching washing machine which will compliment the line-up for the new showroom..The fascia are brushed steel and are quite deep which looks quite rugged and sturdy as the units are, they weigh a ton ha ha..

The salt regeneration unit is unlike the style today - you mix the salt solution in a plastic flask and after unscrewing the top of the tank in the base of the AEG dishwasher you screw on the flask and it delivers the solution into the water softening unit..the washarm looks like the older Hobart cast styling I think !!

Also had a look at the Miele integrated appliances ready for the new display, these are really the best or "Immer Besser" of appliances, again the matching wahing machines and dryers are available to match, the Rapid Advance timers are a unique feature to the 70`s styling..

Inside..

And inside the washroom before we baked in the unusually hot UK sun. Mike has a Hoover Keymatic 3224 sloping front washing machine which he is renovating, (along with of of ours in various states of repair ha ha) and he is needing a door boot / gasket which we are hoping a fellow member of the club can oblige with to set him on his Keymatic journey..

We had a few new washers and dryers to christen after a change around, the "One In One Out" rule has been well and truly busted, but hey...here is Richard showing off the NIB Bendix 7168 washer and dryer, the dryer has never been used and the washing machine a handful of times - many thanks to Amar for helping extend the Bendix collection.

ps, I think Servis Suze is having a peaky grope there dont ya think !!

The Hotpoint purple range was a big hit in UK kitchen, the colour range is officially called "Amethyst" door glass where deep purple and and buttons on the washing machines, tumble dryers and top loaders where fading shaded of purple to white, often faded but this set looks like new, presenting the Hotpoint 1851 with vitreous enamel inner and outer drum, later models had an inner stainless steel drum.

Great people and great appliances make a great day! Those AEG's are quite something and yes they are heavy. I hope the matching washing machine turns up.

The older Miele fascia was indeed a bit higher than the later ones. But when combined in a Miele kitchen center it sort of looks like the same height as the cabinets. Here's a picture.

looks like a great time was had by all.....what a fun event....always great to see the face behind the name....

great machines as well......

what a unique setup....so versatile it could almost fit any setting.....wish they still made setups like this....wash there a fridge and stove to go along with the wall units?

Great Pics there Mike and the AEG set looks superb - whats the extra tap on the sink for? Having moved a few of the old Miele's in my time I reckon you might need a forklift for the AEG washer if ever one turns up lol

Liking the new line up as well - its such a great space and they look fab
