Well, Somebody needed to get this tread started!

Another fabulous weekend in St. Charles--full of Washing Machines, Vacuums, Dressing Up, Great Food, Birthday Celebrations and Awesome Company!

A HUGE thanks to Fred Nelson! A most gracious host and wonderful friend to us all! Without people like you, weekends like this would never happen!

More pictures to follow!

Foto-genic Friends!!!

What a fabulous looking bunch you are!! I really enjoyed the pics!! I was smiling the whole time! You guys are great! It really looked like a terrific time!

Great Photos

What a good looking group! A breath of fresh air knowing that there are still people in this world that know the proper way to dress and act in formal settings. Something I feel is missing in our society today.

Looks like all you folks had a grand time, and so elegantly dressed. What was the special occasion? People magazine missed a good cover shot!

It was a blast!!!

The dinner was a black tie gala for the Center on Halsted in Chicago, a LGBT community center that should be completed next year. There was dinner, dancing, a silent auction(I won a beautiful picture) and Irene Cara did a concert.
I tip my had to Fred(Ida) who is always a fab host. Thanks for everything!

A Note from the host

I'll add my photos here. Mostly Fred's but with a few added and captions too. This group is great. They joined me for a gala benefiting the Center on Halsted - successor to Horizons. A great social services agency that serves the Chicago LGBT community. An anuual event that is turning into a tradition with this group. We made a weekend out of it and, as usual had a great time. Terry Lattz won one of those new-in-the-box Model G Luxs that I had for a door prize. He loved it. Indeed this group dresses up well and we had a fabulous time. What men don't look great in a tux and Tania was smashing in her formal dress. Same time next year?

I KNEW I should have used some of my "picture posting challenges" before they were released to the general public! Just wait my little pretties, I haven't posted mine yet!

I just got in a little while ago and will be heading out to work a little (no rest for the wicked) before I can get into the camera... Who has the post-party living room pictures again? Oh that's right, WE ALL do!!

A big thank-you again goes out to Fred Nelson for making this whole amazing weekend possible, Terry said last year that it was like being Cinderella for an evening and I know exactly what he meant. We had a very fun weekend and I hated to see it come to an end although I'm sure Fred is relishing his peace and quiet this evening!

Thanks Fred, Jeff, and Little Fred for all the neat pictures. Fred we can never thank you enough for providing us all with such a fantastic weekend. Getting all dressed up for such a wonderful cause is so much fun. As I mentioned to Greg, you really do feel just like "Cinderella" after one of these events and we owe it all to Fred!! I am sure you can see from the pictures that we had so much fun!! I was so happy and surprised to have won the "new" Electrolux G. It is my all time favorite model. I have always felt that this was Electrolux at its best!! To have this wonderful machine is like a dream come true. The only problem with weekends like this is that it is always so hard to say good-by!
we are all so blessed to have this wonderful family! Once again a special thank you to Fred, our most gracious host. All of your friendships mean more than you will ever know. Terry

great pictures

you can almost count the fillings in my teeth in that one picture... Hmmm Charlie what will we do with you??
In all seriousness my sides hurt by the time we got back to Freds after sitting between him and Charlie in the limo... Fred's laugh is contagious, and Charlie's one liners had both of us howling!
Terry I love the pictures of you opening the Electrolux. I am really glad you won that!

I just realized no pictures were taken friday night when everyone was at my house...We had home made soup and bread for dinner, did a couple of washes in the Hoover Twinnie, played with vacuums, and almost suds locked my Amana. We even got in an episode of "Knot's Landing" so little Fred could see that cul de sac I dragged him to last summer when we were in LA.

It really was a fun weekend, and in spite of having yesterday off from work I am still tired.
Thanks again to all, it was a blast and ended wat too soon!
