That's in wayy better condition than the one I picked up a couple months ago. And yours apparently is older, doesn't have Perm Press per the timer pic I saw in another thread.

this is the oldest automatic i could find. it just doesnt seem to be too many of the older ones left in the charleston area.but im still looking.

notice i keep all my machines in a climate controled area,because the humidity is terrible here at times, anything left in it rusts out in only a couple of years.

Hi Don,

Do you happen to have a pic OR any chance of taking one of the mechanicals of your A206?? I'm interested to see the transmission and the set up as i'm trying to track down a 1960's Simpson here in Oz and the agitator shape and inner bowl look very similar to the Simpson, so i have a feeling Simpson here might have copied the design, except i remember the transmission in the Simpson is round in the shape of a "flying saucer" with a small counterweight which is different to the helical Maytag design.

Any pics would be greatly appreciated.
