A407 pilot light

I was lucky enough to find an NOS one in the bag and replaced my blinking one, blinking when it decided to work. Now its on nice and bright when the timer knob is pulled out and the machine is running. When the machine comes to the end of its cycle though it remains on although dim, is this normal? Should I save the old one? Is it just the resistor thats sketchy in it?

The pilot light will remain on after a cycle is finished until you turn the machine off.  It does that to remind you that the washer needs to be unloaded.
