I just want to say thank you to all of you here! I absolutely love the help that you all gave me and the encouragement and the courage to take on this project. This is such a great machine and I love that it is back.
Great job!! That looks as good as it did coming off the assembly line. I hope to have the time (and patience) some day to do that level of restore on one of my machines. In the meantime, I'll live vicariously through you and everyone else here that can do these amazing things.
I DON'T KNOW - REALLY! I must sheepishly say that I really didn't fully understand how it all worked. I was just following the tutorials and didn't really get the mechanical aspect. Now that I do its a real slap the forehead kind of moment
If anyone wants the old one, I would be glad to mail it to you!
Congratulations!
I have a harvest gold 806 and it can do anything short of dry cleaning.
I have said for years that if you have an 806 you can wash anything.
I'm sure you will get many years of clean laundry out of it.
Toni - congrats on a fine restoration! You now are the lucky owner of an appliance that will last you and your family for many years to come. And, if something does go wrong, you now know exactly what to do.
