I agree Greg they are a mess!
Many years ago I had several friends that I would watch their laundry procedure. Now keep in mind, this was years ago.
They would have clothes drying in the dryer, and was so backed up on washing, they would take wet clothes out of the washer, and stack them on the top of the dryer to "wait" when the dryer finished, so they could start a new load in the washer. Many times, they would, or someone else would take the dry clothes out of the dryer, and would not even know what was on top of the dryer was wet! I remember several times that the clothes were in the washer for so long, that they were dry!!!
This wet clothes on top of the dryer would go on,...and what do you get? Mold building on top of the dryer and on the faceplate of the dryer. This looks to me to be the same situation.
They are not friends anymore....LOL!
