Adding a water level (load size) selector switch to a new commercial Speed Queen?

I lost my chance to get a pre-2018 speed queen, I haven't seen a used pre-2018 unit come up in my area, and I need a new washer. I was thinking about the possibility of getting a new Speed Queen homestyle commercial (LWN432SP115TW01) unit which still has a transmission and adding a water level selector switch. The 2017 commercial unit (LWN432SP113TW04) shares the same parts manual as the 2018 unit (LWN432SP115TW01) and it appears they just changed the pressure switch to a fixed pressure sensor. I want to make sure I am not missing something obvious or otherwise. Is it correct in thinking I could replace the pressure sensor in the 2018 unit with a pressure switch from the 2017 unit? I know I would have to drill a hole in the front panel and buy a knob etc.

I'd Email Speed Queen asking for a wiring diagram or service manual and see if its doable. But honestly, I would just do this:

Top Load Washer, Hi Luke, yes what you want to do is easy, I would not contact SQ about the proposed change of WL switches. If any thing talk to the commercial distributor  you are buying the machine from, but I think you have it figured out already.

As long as he does not mention what he is going to do, I see no issue in contacting SQ. There was a member on here who was curious about the cycle times and Speed Queen sent him a tech only service manual.

The Commercial washer already has a wiring diagram inside the control panel.

True, but I'm not sure if the OP has purchased machine yet. Knowing ahead of time makes things easier. I used to do it all the time when Service Matters was open to the public, made purchasing machines ahead of time for mods a no brainier.

All really good points, I have not bought a commercial unit yet. I am still trying to weigh my options and am hoping a used speed queen comes up in the next few months before I get rid of the Samsung front loader that came with my house. Also I am not exactly sure where to buy a commercial unit except from a online store.

Will that control panel plug right up to the existing connectors on a new unit? The control panel also does not have extra rinse, is that just a switch that is added or does the timer have to support it?

Honestly, I am not 100% sure if it will plug right in as I have never been in a commercial unit (yet), however the wiring is simple and splicing it to the new harness will not be difficult or complex if you only have basic wiring experience.

Regarding extra rinse the timer has to have that function built into it.

After some digging through the parts manual it seems you can also convert the 2018-2019 electronic homestyle commercial unit to the 2017 and before electronic unit with a new control panel and pressure switch. This change seems very tempting as I always wanted the AWNE92SP113TW01

I just did it and it works great.

The wiring harness is different. New PS has only three wire connections. The SP115TW01 has an overfull switch as part of the fixed pressure switch that variable switch of the SP113TW04 does not. (Just spliced those two wires together.) Had to cut the other wires and put spade connectors on as the original plug is much larger and does not mate up.

I found a last-in-stock floor model LWN432SP115TW01 at one of the local dealers. Tried for two weeks to be OK with no load size selector, but it was driving me crazy. Now it's the machine I've always wanted.

LWN432 - Where to Buy?

So where can one buy this? Also, where can one buy the mechanical LWN 432, which is what I would prefer. Isn't it still made? My local dealer said they cannot get them. The only place online is applianceconnections.com that has several negative reviews. I keep seeing this recommended, but they are almost impossible to find.

I purchased my AWNE92SP113TW01 electronic unit from Appliance Connection but they also sell the manual dial version. I had no issues with the order, others on the board have purchased from there as well. I have not seen anyone post issues with the company.
To convert the electronic model it turns out you don't need the pressure switch, you only the control panel and there is no wiring modifications needed.

This is not possible at all, you can not convert non transmission inverter drive machines to mechanical control machines.
