Has anyone here done this? I’m looking at adding an inline drain pump to one of my wringer washers and I’m wondering what the best way to do it is. I’ve seen people mention wiring one in and having a switch but I haven’t been able to locate specifics. So far I’ve seen in-line aquarium pumps and “transfer pumps” like from a hardware store. Are either of those what one would use?

salvaged electric pump good option

if not practical to install original pump option, salvage drain pump from a washer (some dishwashers have a suitable pump too)Washer pumps are meant to handle lint and other debris in the drainwater.a good salvaged pump to use would be one from a mid-1990s up GE top load, especially an earlier one with shaded pole motor "vortex"pump.

Thanks so much

Luckily I was able to get the pump working on my Easy wringer washer after rebuilding it (my backup plan was to add in a newer pump).

I shall file this info away for future restorations as I do have a Maytag Model 32 that didn't come with a pump.
