I was given an Admiral Refrigerator to use in my garage. The model number is NT17L4. When I checked it out, it was working well. It was very cool. It was delivered today. When I plugged it in, the freezer gets real cold, but the refrigerator is barely cool. It only traveled about one block, and was delivered by an appliance company. What could be wrong? Any suggestions? Should I vaccuum the coils underneath? Thanks, Tim

Thanks, Maytagbear. That's what I thought too,but was just a little nervous. Do you happen to know which company stamps the admiral name on these friges? I think it may be Maytag.

Tim-

depends on the year....if it's newer, then yes, it is a Maytag made box. If it is from the late 70s through mid 80s, Admiral was a division of Rockwell then.I don't know date codes for these, though.

This morning........

the old Admiral is chilling at 38 degrees. Thanks, Maytagbear. I did some research on this frige. I think it is from the mid 80's since the model number doesn't show up on the Maytag site.
