Hi all, so recently we have had minor issues with our AEG Favorit F86070vi dishwasher. I have no idea how old it actually is, perhaps someone might be able to date it.
Anyway, it's always worked flawlessly however it's not been heating recently. Our first thought could be the control board, apparently these are prone to a dry joint.
Nope, not that. Turns out the heater had gone, it's still done well. With a bit of issues with a spare parts company on ebay, we eventually tracked down the heater at a local independent in Doncaster, with stock.
New heater fitted, door seal removed and cleaned. It looked like one of the seams at the back had leaked, with the float stuck to the base. We cleaned it up, applied some sealant to the seam. The machine has had a thorough spa treatment, it was full of gunk and scale.
It's all working great, the dishes appear cleaner. All the sake of £40 to get it working, and I'm sure it'll go for another few years
