Hi guys,

today I had to take my dryer´s lid off because it stopped working, it doesn´t tumble as fast as it used to do, it makes very long pauses (~2 min) tumbles for 30 sec and pauses again.
And then there was a clicking noise around the electronic´s area. I took a closer look and what did I see there? On a white small chamber was written "GE".
Does this mean that GE and AEG cooperate with each other!?

Here a photo: (in very bad quality, I know)

No, but GE, much like Siemens, produce a vast range of electrical and electronic products so they're possibly making some component that AEG or Electrolux uses in their dryers.

Same in our Privileg (Electrolux) dryer: the electronics are branded GE. I had the customer service take a look at it because the dryer wouldn't reverse but instead just quit working and started beeping. The electronics had to be replaced. The part itself was a $170. All in all, the repair was a $350 (220 Euros). Our AEG dishwasher had Siemens electronics in it...

My dad took a closer look at the dryer and noticed that the electronic is going crazy in the middle of a cycle..the dryer will not be repaired and I will still have to use it, as my dad said :( But I think I´m getting a new dryer soon..
