AFTER 13 LONG YEARS THE SEARCH IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

My heartfealt congratulations!

I haven't posted on AutomaticWasher.org in AGES...but this thread definitely calls for a post.

Robert, it is awesome to read this thread and see that you finally found this machine. And 4 miles from home, that is bizarre.

Having seen all the cool work you do to get these babies to showroom condition, I couldn't help but chuckle at the questions "Does it work?" My thought was "Doesn't matter, it will when Robert gets done with it." And "Is it going to be a major restore?" My thought was "When Robert is done it will be in showroom condition."

Again, congratulations! For all you've done, for all you do, for the vintage appliance hobby -- not just here, but like Vacuumland -- you well deserve the experience of this machine!

All the best to you!

John

Robert - Congratulations on finding your ultimate dream machine. So amazing that it lurked only a few miles from you all these years - I still cannot get over that!!

Fascinating that we think we are so technically advanced today. When you look at what was being done in the 1950's, you realize that perhaps those were really the years of great creativity and innovation.

Best of luck with that Apex. Next up, the matching dryer.

Hey Robert! Many Thanks!

...And big congrats on finding that Apex. I have extracted and saved the Youtube links for later conversion by online.movavi.com as soon as the online utility is back in service. Wish they would get back up and running soon, as I already have loads of classic washer demos and detergent commercials to convert for my own listening pleasure. Again, congratulations and many thanks for sharing.--Laundry Shark

Oh happy day, Robert! I'm delighted for you. Now I know why you were moving those two filter flos, to make room for the holy grail.

Congrats Robert

What a wonderous day this is for all of us.

That rollover without water reminds me of a current model marketing an "Air Wash" method for cleaning.

Can't wait to see it after you have given it an overhaul.

Wow! Congratulations!

I am very happy for you! It is always good to see when something like this "happens." I have had a few experiences like this in my life where a long quest is finally satisfied! You were obviously meant to have this wonderful machine! Enjoy!

Congrats Rob

I have watched the videos and there fascinating, i want one lol I dont post very often but i see you give so much to others and it confirms what i believe that what goes round comes around...EVENTUALLY lol Happy washing Rob

Thanks everyone again for all your kind wishes, if it weren't Hal F. Carter none of this would have been possible. Maybe there really is something to Karma. ;-)

Karma does exist

Hey Robert,

I truly do believe in karma. In late 2007, as i was driving to work, i stopped at a pederstrian crossing to let someone cross the road.....unfortunately the car behind me didn't and damaged my car that was due to be traded in 3 weeks!

BUT...within 2 days of the accident, i received calls for both the Kelvinator orbital and the Wilkins Servis 206, neither of which i thought i would ever find at that time. It was then that i realised that if i didn't stop, the car behind me would probably have run over the pedestrian.

Personally, i think i was being rewarded....as you have with the Apex. The funny thing about the Wilkins is that i figured out i would have driven past the farm in Victoria THREE times where it was being stored on my trip there!

Happy Apex washing!
Leon

So nice to see you so excited Robert..........

May you enjoy your new addition for many years to come.

Lovely machine!

It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!!!`

Congratulations, Robert, on your Apex find. It must be the only one in the world.

And thanks for sharing the pictures and videos and story.

It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Omigosh!

That's so wonderful, Robert!!! Congratulations!

My God, I never imagined how beautiful these are when they run. Like a reverse-Philco, with steadily increasing Kelvinator shampooing action as the water level steadily decreases! :-D

It's gorgeous, just gorgeous!

Congratulations!

Robert, I cannot even find words to express how happy I am for you. Kevin emailed me to come to the site to see his new set, I scrolled down a ways and there was your post! I haven't even watched the videos yet but can't wait to.

I can't wait to find out where on 13th Avenue this was, given you used to live on 15th Avenue. (!)

Enjoy in good health! I may have to pop in for coffee and a peek when in Minneapolis if you are home.
