Hello!

GE Combination = after spin then dryer (ventless)
Lady Kennedy = after spin then dryer (vent or ventless)
RCA Whirlpool combination = after spin then dryer (vent)

Peter

I had a "Comb-o-matic" [Italian mande] 110v tiny washer-dryer back in 1982 that was vented. SLOW AS HECK DRYER.

It had two small openings of about 1.5 inches each and a crude (Read: useless) lint filter near the top, in the rear.

A standard 4 inch (100mm) round exhaust hose connection would have been MUCH preferred.

It did a 1,000+/- RPM final spin, so that helped it dry somewhat quicker.....

I suspect the 110Volt aspect of that machine was more of a problem than the venting system

You would have been far better off using the combo as just a washer and putting a little portable dryer someplace (PLACE?!?! There is no place). I know, but a small dryer has better airflow patterns and, often, a bigger blower wheel to help move things along. In the winter, if you have radiators, you can put the portable dryer in front of one, arrange sheets or similar material to ensure a flow of heated air into the dryer's intake and cut drying time. I had to use my DE806 on 120V this way for a few months after I moved in 1981 and the radiator REALLY helped cut the drying time.

Steve I had that same Combo-matic washer squeezed into my studio apartment in Manhattan back in 1985. It was my second washer actually, the first was a 1983 Sanyo portable impeller machine.

Peter:
IIRC (if I recall correctly) the dryer was timed only, not automatic. It went past 120 minutesm which was necessary.

Robert:
The machine was decent, but i did raise the water level substantially. That may be the reason I stretched the belt, Well that, and overlaoding.

(you may need bleach, your post is turning yellow!)

I was able to get a replacement belt at the car-parts store.
