Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Don’t know if there’s much of a difference. The lint filters on short stroke machines like the direct don’t do much since there’s not as many strong currents created compared to something like a Maytag pitman or a belt drive Whirlpool.

There is a slight difference between the 4 and 5 vanes.

The 5 vanes tend to bottleneck at the base, slightly slowing the rollover.

Both agitators will clean. But the performance is slightly better with the 4 vanes.

This is what I observed when I installed this agitator in my DD.

Agreed, CleanteamofNY, I observed the same. You would think the additional vanes and fin would create stronger movement. The movement is slower but, the 5 vane/fins can handle a big load. This is absolutely a Bobsload wash. Slowwww!!! moving but, it's turning over the load. And, cannot in anyway get confused about the performance of the wavy flex vane verses the dual-action agitator. They're not close to being similar. The only close to compare agitator to a dual action are the Westinghouse and GE spiral ramp agitators.
