Found these at Mom's the other day..Kenmore Agitators from here wringer washer collection...(yes..at 78 she still uses one!)...the one on the right includes the cap..really hate to throw them away...make an offer off-list at [email protected]
The wringer Roto-Swirl will not fit and automatic. I have compared them side by side. The only problem with the swirls coming up to the top on the wringer model is that it creates lots and lots of suds! You really need to use a low sudsing detergent with these.
It doesn't look like it would create anymore turbulence than the Whirlpool Surgilator on the left. Doesn't look that much taller either. My concern, would it be able to handle the girth of the spin tube?
I think there is a height issue with these. The catalogs of the 1960s offered replacement agitators and stated that some, including this one, could not be used in automatic washers.
I believe that some of the later wringers, those that had the gold Roto-Swirls especially, had interchangeable agitators.
I have a Kenmore wringer with the roto that I have been trying to find a straight vane to switch out for fun. I snagged one from ebay and didn't think about asking the height and when I got it it is too short. I need 15 3/4" and it is like the one in the middle that Jerry has above but its only about 14" tall. I would really love to find a suriglator that would fit. Does anyone know if it is possible to find this... seems like this machine has a very deep tub.

Gosh! What did we do before they invented low sudsing detergents? When I was growing up, you never saw the clothes as they were washing. You only saw suds!
The agi on the far right with the cap..... do you think that would fit in my '63 Kenmo 600? Would be nice to have a couple of different ones to use in the machine.
