ah thought I posted about this yesterday Caloric stove

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Not a bad-looking stove, but I'd be hesitant to believe that the MW really works or adds value in any way.  Is the seller really saying three-thousand?  Or was that intended to be three-hundred, or even thirty dollars???  If it's what you want and you're willing to clean it up (and all of the functions less the MW work), make him an offer - what have you got to lose?

i dont care about MW anyone else know or used this model?

i got rid of the GE american type stove. that was here when bought this place
cause the top stove was microwave only >i refuse to use at MW anymore
I do have the countertop mW? con oven/ combo unit... sitting in the kitchen.
Havent used it in a while cause I hate that Dang turntable i dont see how it can be turned off. no mention in the original owners manual about turning it off......DUH
He said over the phone that the oven top lifts up...that I need cause I hate tring to clean under them
what would yallTHINK I should offer as a top dollar since I have no use or want for a mW just a reg good oven . I assume its 30" wide too....also it almost 2hrs away.I hate the driving well Hubby would drive of course. I bet the thing is heavy too
Oh and how hard would it be to change out the black I assume glass oven door to white?
thanks yall keep the input coming.PLEASE

goatfarmer why such a low price ?

whats not to like? what does your trained eyes see? Please elaborate. or anyone else please
thanks yall

It's just that...

a typical self-cleaning 1980s 30" range is common and often found for very little $, and this Caloric doesn't look all that well cared for either. We got a similar, but cleaner (with no MW of course) 1980s 30" Hotpoint range for free last year, not at all unusual. If you don't like MWs with turntables consider an older Amana RadarRange, one of the best MWs ever.

naw don thinks so

yeah, see lots of stoves on CL but most have digital controls ovens or dig timers
also lots of the ones I see are "almond"
I AM NOT interested in a MW AT all. I won t use them anymore
read too much bad about them....
a lot of them also dont have timers at all.. GOTTA have timers that buzz loud and long....
i emailed the owner and asked to see more pics
thanks all

Excellent range in excellent condition

This range is easily worth around $300, you would only buy this range if you're interested and sophisticated enough to use a micro thermal oven

These ranges were built in Pennsylvania they were well-built and very reliable the microwave part of it is made by Amana. If something does go wrong with the microwave part it's easy to repair there's no computer boards.

This range would be a poor choice if you're not interested in the micro thermal cooking, there are several parts of it that are no longer available you can't even get a bake element for it easily.

This is one of the ranges that is in the museum kitchen, if you learn to use it you will never be without one.

This range appears to be an excellent condition it only needs $.50 worth of electricity to clean this up and then it will look like new

thanks yall

Funny those are even farther away .. cost more in gasoline to go...
COMBO52.....now what does "sophicated enough mean" ??? Im not insulted just dont get it.
I searched "thermalcooking" so its just MWaving right?

I dunno a local guy might have an element>> He bought another guy's going out of business parts....
are there really that many diff elemens out there? wow
thanks all
