Good for Whirlpool! Like others I'm sure they do use some  "Asian" parts, but at least they cut out the big part of China made!

Only on some of their appliances

The majority of Whirlpool made front load machines we receive here in Oz are made in China....that's all 'Euro' sized machines.

Only the 'Duet' sized machines come from Europe now.

We've bought 2 washers, a dryer, and a fridge, all Whirlpool, in the last 5 years, all US made (we made sure before we bought them) and all have been superb - knock on wood - as has the GE d/w we bought 2 yrs ago. The US needs a strong appliance industry and it's up to us to support it, imho. Foreign workers don't contribute to our Social Security system, and as one who's on SS, that matters!
